How to maintain Fujiashi products

|
1. how to treat
scratch and chalkiness:
usng a 400 mesh sandpaper to remove scratch first, then polish with
a 800 sandpaper, finally to restore the shinny surface with
detergent spray and scrub. If matte surface, simply use a 400 mesh
sandpaper to polish. |
2. spot, stain
removal:
To treat slight water spots, macular, oil, cement, mortar, stains,
rust, just refer to the method 1 above;
if more serious stains, a hand grinding polishing machine with a 400
mesh sandpaper is suggested for thorough surface grinding and
polishing. |
3. the collapse
angle treatment:
cut the corner and chip the same shape using the same colors (from
the same batch) of solid surface stone material (if slightly larger,
just polish it); use the same type of solid surface stone material
glue for fixing the collapse at the corner, then grind and polish. |
4. rift
treatment: first using a Gong Machine to cut a 2-3mm seam at
the rift location, then using the same glue to the solid stone
material, finally grind and polish it. |

Knowledge of Solid Surface Stone

Solid Surface
Stone also named as artificial stone is a synthetic material for
decoration purposes.
According to the different binders, it can be divided into two
types: the organic artificial stone and the inorganic artificial
stone.
According to the process of its production, it can be divided into
four types: the polyester artificial marble, the compound artificial
marble, the silicate artificial marble, and the sintered artificial
marble.
For more info. please refer to wikipedia here |
Among these 4
types, the organic (polyester) is most commonly used, its physical
and chemical properties are the best. Marble is a high grade
decorative material, careful economical consideration shall be taken
when purchase.
How to identify the quality: |
(1) to determine pattern and color tones: in bright light
conditions, place the selected plates together with the same other
marble plates, stand at a distance of approx. 1.5 meters away,
examine visually and carefully.
Result: the pattern and color of the plates should be reconciled. |
(2) check the surface defects: in well-lit conditions, place the
plate on the ground, stand at a distance of approx. 1.5 meters away
and watch if there are invisible defects, if no defect is observed,
the slab will be considered defect free.
These signs shall be considered defects: warpage; cracks, sand hole,
color spots, stains and dimple phenomena.
The slab is considered to be good quality if no such above defects
are observed, also good quality slabs shall not have any missing
angel parts.
If one or more defects described above is observed while it will not
affect the use of the slab, or if there is a chipping no bigger than
8mm in length and 3mm in width, or an missing angel no bigger than
3mm both in length and width, this slab quality can be considered
acceptable.
Slabs can be damaged during transportation and loading, it can be
glued (for cracked slabs), or repaired (for edge defects, surface
potholes and pits), it is important that no obvious glue or repair
sign shall be seen after repairment, and colors shall match. |
(3) check the tags:
The marking order for marble slab is the title, the category, the
size and specs., and the grade.
The standard marble slab title order: name of the product origin,
pattern name, marble (coded M).
Marble slab is divided into two main categories:
Ordinary slab (coded N): for square or rectangular shaped slab;
Other shapes (coded S);
Marble slab has three grades: super grade (coded A), grade A (coded
B) and qualified grade (coded C).
Such classification is based on the allowed tolerances of the slab
size and specifications, the allowed tolerance limitations for the
slab flatness, the permissible angel tolerance limit, the specular
gloss and appearance quality. |
